Nate Shepard is a Landscape photographer who concentrates on the American West. The rugged mountains and pristine lakes have been a constant allure. Nate hikes into these areas with his medium or large format camera. Working with the larger formats forces him to really study a scene before even begining to shoot.
Nate moved to Missoula from Ann Arbor, Michigan, with his wife Melissa, in 2002 to be closer to his subject matter. While living in Montana, Nate has been producing fine art prints primarily for the gallery market and private collectors. He has been featured in many one-man shows and group exhibitions.
When Nate is not photographing you will find him waist deep in many of the local rivers with a fly rod in hand, or deep in the bottomless powder Western Montana has to offer. He enjoys hiking the backcountry, rock climbing and camping all with his wife, daughter, son and their black lab.
